Pac-12 Previews and Predictions for Week 11
Pac-12 Previews and Predictions: Week 11
The Pac-12 is widely considered one of the top conferences in the nation this season. Beginning the year with a handful of ranked teams, the Pac-12 has now dwindled them down a bit after the Washington Huskies and Oregon State Beavers have both fallen out of the rankings after a few tough losses this season.
While there may be just four teams in the Top 25 through 10 weeks, the top teams could arguably beat anyone in the nation. The Oregon Ducks are the one team that is believes to be the best non-SEC team in the nation by many people. The Ducks have been destroying every team that enters their path, including some ranked teams, this season. It seems like Oregon is on the fast track to the BCS national title game this year and, unless they lose a game, they will be locked into the title contest.
Oregon may be third in the rankings this week, but a win on Thursday over the Stanford Cardinal will change that. Taking to the road and beating a top-five team by a solid margin could put them back in second place once again. Stanford will be the toughest test of the season for the Ducks as they will hit the road and take on one of the top defenses in the nation. This will be a rematch of the game in which Stanford won last season by a score of 17-14 in overtime -- it will be interesting to see if the Cardinal can hold the potent Ducks offense in check once again.
The UCLA Bruins are another team that ranks in the Top 25 this season from the Pac-12 and they have a Heisman-hopeful quarterback on their team in Brett Hundley. Watch out for the Arizona State Sun Devils as well who are in the Top 25 and have a top quarterback of their own in Taylor Kelly.
Take a look at this week's previews and prediction for each game.
No. 3 Oregon at No. 5 Stanford
It looks like the Ducks will travel to the Cardinal in the top game of week 11. College football will get a treat in this one. The Ducks' offense will get the better of the Cardinal and it will be a close one until the very end.
PREDICTION: Oregon 40, Stanford 37
USC at California
It seems like the Trojans have been resurgent ever since Lane Kiffin was fired and that is definitely the case. The Trojans will travel to California to take on the Golden Bears in what looks to be an easy victory for Cody Kessler and the bowl eligible Trojans.
PREDICTION: USC 35, California 14
No. 22 Arizona State at Utah
Taylor Kelly will have no problem with this Utah defense on the road as the Arizona State quarterback will have yet another solid game in his junior campaign.
PREDICTION: Arizona State 37, Utah 21
Colorado at Washington
Colorado's struggles will continue as the Washington Huskies will rebound after a tough stretch behind the arm of Keith Price and the legs of Bishop Sankey.
PREDICTION: Colorado 13, Washington 34
No. 19 UCLA at Arizona
Brett Hundley will be fighting for the second spot in the Pac-12 South with the surprising Arizona Wildcats. If the Bruins can contain Ka'Deem Carey at running back for the Wildcats, they will have no problem shutting down the rest of the offense as well.
PREDICTION: UCLA 34, Arizona 27
