Why Florida State Seminoles Must be Careful against Wake Forest
A majority of college football fans watched the Stanford Cardinal defeat the Oregon Ducks on Thursday night. Oregon’s loss opened up a chain of events that have allowed for all sorts of possibilities in regards to the BCS National Championship.
The Florida State Seminoles are now favorites to face in what in all likelihood will be the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship. With that being said, they must be careful against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, as it is a game they can’t look past.
It will definitely be easy for Florida State to fall into the trap. Let’s face it the Seminoles should steamroll the Demon Deacons. With that being said, Wake Forest is going to bring their ‘A’ game and ensure the conference showdown is not one that disappoints for the hometown fans.
All signs point to the contest being a blowout, but that could all change if the Seminoles don’t take the game seriously. It is imperative that Florida State treat the contest as if it is a must-win against a critical opponent. In the big scheme of things, everyone the Seminoles face from here on out is a team they must defeat in order to get one step closer to a National Championship berth.
Wake Forest has actually done well limiting how much opponents score against them this season (19.9 points per game). However, I have a feeling Florida State is going to put the ball in quarterback Jameis Winston’s hands and let him throw it all over the place on their way to a victory.
