Duke Can Taste ACC Coastal Title, But Blue Devils Must Avoid Let Down
Not only did the Blue Devils uproot the No.23 Miami Hurricanes, nearly every other team in the ACC Coastal division lost. Now, Duke is in the driver’s seat as the only program in the Coastal division that controls its own destiny in terms of a trip to the ACC Title game, which is to be held in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Key losses by Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and of course Miami have all paved the way for Duke to reel in its first division title in school history. However, head coach David Cutcliffe must be sure to keep his team in check as the Blue Devils still have two crucial games left on their schedule. Fortunately for Duke, the teams in the ACC Coastal just don’t feel like winning in the month of November!
Even still, this kind of success is unheard of in Duke. Therefore it’s important for the inexperience Blue Devils to keep their eyes on the prize and understand what exactly is at risk. With that being said, just two more victories and Cutliffe’s will have a huge contest versus the Florida State Seminoles that no one in Durham is going to forget.
