It seems like there’s a marching band that goes viral about every weekend now. It’s usually the Ohio State University marching band, but this week it’s the Clemson Tigers. Check out their halftime performance from this past Saturday’s game. Anyone who grew up playing Nintendo will recognize the tunes and images:

This video would have been a lot better if the idiot filming it would have kept his finger off the zoom button and his mouth shut, but I guess you can’t win em’ all. The Nintendo tunes used were perfect. The Mario and Zelda themes get stuck in your head with ease.

As far as the games themselves go, Mario was no doubt more popular, but you can’t sell Zelda short. If you’re looking to nerd out over a long period of time in more of story game mode, Zelda is the way to go. If you’re just looking to get your Nintendo fix, you can’t beat playing any installment of the original Mario games (even Mario 2).

As for the Tigers’ football team, they shellacked Georgia Tech by a score of 55-31. Clemson is now 9-1 on the season and sitting in great position at No. 7 in the latest BCS standings. However, after a loss earlier in the year to Florida State, the Tigers will need some help to make the ACC title game. Still, Clemson is in great position for an at large BCS bid if they can win out in 2013.
