It has been an interesting season for the LSU Tigers as they are no longer in the SEC title race. Although they might be one of the best teams in the nation, they have had one of the toughest schedules out there — possibly meaning they will miss out on a BCS bowl.

As for the Texas A&M Aggies, a BCS bowl berth is not out of the picture, but a conference title surely is. Ranking 12th in the nation, the Aggies look to be one of the best teams from the conference and they still have no shot at winning it. It will be interesting to see if the Aggies’ defense can slow down the Tigers’ offense.

The Tigers began the season like they do every year: ranked in the Top 25. However, no one gave this team any chance to win anything, but their offense has proved some doubters wrong. Zach Mettenberger has been one of the best quarterbacks in the nation this season, passing for 2,733 yards and 20 touchdowns thanks to his talented receivers. Odell Beckham has been one of the top wide outs in the nation, catching 51 passes for 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns while Jarvis Landry has 63 catches for 972 yards and another eight scores. Jeremy Hill leads the rushing attack with 964 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.

Texas A&M is led by the reigning Heisman winner and 2013 Heisman-hopeful candidate, Johnny Manziel. As one of the top quarterbacks in the nation, he might be in his last season with the Aggies as he might go pro after his redshirt sophomore season. Manziel has 3,313 yards and 31 touchdowns on the year while his 11 interceptions have been somewhat problematic — that can’t happen at the next level. He also leads the team in rushing with 611 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. Mike Evans has been the other star of the offense, catching 57 passes for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns — anything Manziel throws up, he catches.

Defensively, the Aggies are one of the worst units in the nation. Texas A&M ranks 88th in points allowed per game as well as ranking 104th in yards allowed per game with just about 460 per contest. The Tigers rank 38th in points allowed per game as well as 33rd in yards allowed with just over 370 per game.

Texas A&M will travel to LSU to take on the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 23. The game will be broadcasted on CBS.

PREDICTION: Texas A&M 33, LSU 37
