Arizona State vs. Arizona: Game Preview With TV Schedule
It’s been a solid season for the Arizona State Sun Devils as they have clinched a spot in the Pac-12 title game in a couple weeks and they could be on their way to the Rose Bowl in January. Arizona State has posted a 9-2 record on the season and it looks like they might just be the team to beat in the Pac-12.
The Arizona Wildcats are coming off their biggest win of the season and maybe biggest win in recent memory as they defeated the Oregon Ducks in blowout fashion, winning by 26 points. Arizona might be in line to head to their best bowl game in years, but they have one more hurdle against a top rival.
Arizona State has been solid on offense this season, ranking 27th in passing in the nation. Arizona State has been led by talented quarterback Taylor Kelly who has accounted for 3,063 yards and 25 touchdowns on the year while hitting Jaelen Strong 65 times for 925 yards and six touchdowns. Marion Grice has been solid on the ground, rushing for 996 yards 14 touchdowns.
On the other side of the field, Arizona runs out a stellar run game while boasting a mediocre passing game behind quarterback B.J. Denker. The run game has been made so successful by Ka’Deem Carey who has rushed for 1,559 yards and 16 touchdowns and proven himself as one of the nation’s top running backs. Denker has passed for 2,066 yards and 14 touchdowns while rushing for another 811 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Defensively, Arizona State has been solid this season, ranking 53rd in the nation in points allowed per game while also ranking 28th in yards allowed per game. Arizona has not been as successful, ranking 29th in points allowed but 69th in total yards allowed per contest.
Arizona will travel to Arizona State to take on the Sun Devils at 9:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 30. The game will be broadcasted on the Pac-12 Network.
