Missouri vs. Texas A&M: Game Preview With TV Schedule
To begin the season, no one would have thought that the Missouri Tigers would be contending for an SEC title come week 14. Missouri has won three straight games after losing on their home field to the South Carolina Gamecocks in overtime. A win means Missouri is in the SEC title game.
Coming into the year as one of the top teams in the nation, the Texas A&M Aggies are looking to just remain in the Top 25 rankings before the regular season concludes after posting an 8-3 record through 13 weeks. If there is any team who can come back from a tough loss, it’s the Aggies.
Missouri has been solid on offense this season even though it lost starting quarterback James Franklin for about a month. Freshman quarterback Maty Mauk has been impressive in his absence, passing for 1,034 yards with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. However, Franklin is now back and he has passed for 1,719 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season. L’Damian Washington leads the team in receiving yards with 727 for nine touchdowns on 38 catches while Dorial Green-Beckham is close behind with 42 catches for 593 yards and nine scores.
The Aggies have struggled defensively this season, making Johnny Manziel‘s job that much harder. The reigning Heisman winner has passed for an impressive 3,537 yards and 32 touchdowns on the year, but he has made some costly errors, leading to 13 interceptions. Mike Evans has been a beast in the receiving game, catching 61 passes for 1,314 yards and 12 touchdowns — averaging 21.5 yards per catch. Manziel has also led all rushers for the Aggies, accounting for 665 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
Defensively, the Aggies have been anything but impressive this season. Texas A&M ranks 89th in the nation in points allowed as well as 106th in the nation in yards allowed per game. Missouri ranks 15th in the nation in points allowed and 52nd in yards allowed per game.
Texas A&M will travel to Missouri to take on the Tigers at 7:45 p.m. EST on Saturday, Nov. 30. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN.
PREDICTION: Texas A&M 37, Missouri 34
