All season long, the Florida State Seminoles have been dominating opponents. On Saturday, they added the Florida Gators to their list of conquests in 2013 and wrapped up a perfect regular season heading into the ACC title game next week in Charlotte. That perfect record, coupled with the loss of the Alabama Crimson Tide, has the Noles solidly at No. 1 in the latest BCS standings with a clear path to Pasadena for the BCS National Championship.

After a sluggish start, Florida State opened things up against their rival Florida as they blew out the Gators 37-7 in Gainesville. Jameis Winston was the spark for the offense once again as the defense stifled the Florida offense for all four quarters as they coasted to another comfortable win in 2013. Florida State hasn’t been in a game decided by less than 14 points all season long and the win on Saturday was their ninth win in 2013 by 30 points or more.

This is the first 12-0 regular season for FSU since 1999, the last time that the Seminoles won a national title. They are in line to repeat history this season as the No. 1 team in the BCS standings with nothing but the Duke Blue Devils between them and a ticket to Pasadena this January. Jimbo Fisher will undoubtedly have his team focused on the job ahead of them against Duke in order to clear their final hurdle to the national title game.

FSU has looked like the best team on the field in every game this season, blowing their opponents away week in and week out. Finally, that dominance has gotten the Seminoles to the No. 1 spot in the BCS rankings.
