In what will likely be his final college game, Johnny Manziel put on another show. The quarterback for the Texas A&M Aggies rallied his team from a 38-17 halftime deficit to beat the Duke Blue Devils, 52-48 in a classic Chick-fil-A Bowl.

Manziel was amazing one last time. He had 382 yards passing, with four passing touchdowns, as well as 73 yards rushing and another score in the game.

The one thing Manziel couldn’t do for his team was play defense. Duke torched the Aggies in the first half with 38 points. In the second half, the Aggies’ defense stepped up its game, allowing Manziel and the Aggie offense to get back in the game.

Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, willed his team back into the game in the second half. He continued to make spectacular plays, as he has done throughout his career, which just added to the legend of Johnny Football.

The transition to the Southeastern Conference was thought to be a tough one for A&M, but Manziel made the switch much easier. Many expected A&M to flop in its SEC debut, but Manziel was up to the task, allowing the Aggies to become a welcomed member to the nation’s best football conference.

Manziel’s contribution to the Aggies, and to the SEC, is significant. He will be remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks in SEC history. And his performance in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on Tuesday night just added to his legend. When it’s all said and done, Manziel will go down as one of the best quarterbacks in SEC history, and he showed why again on Tuesday night.
