Randy Gregory DL

Gregory had an outstanding first season for the Huskers. Gregory may not be considered a freshman because he is a transfer, but he was a first-year player for the Huskers and must be affiliated with this class. Gregory will definitely be one of the black shirts that opponents will have their eyes on next season.

Terrell Newby RB

With a talent like Ameer Abdullah receiving the majority of carries in 2013 and returning in 2014, Newby will likely be listed third on the depth chart behind Abdullah and Imani Cross. Though he may lack carries, he is truly the beneficiary of watching a great player and hard worker like Abdullah every day.

Maliek Collins DT

Nebraska has truly put an emphasis on creating a dominant defensive line and hopefully maintaining dominance at the position. Recruiting defensive linemen has long been an accent of the offseason for Pelini and his staff. Collins has great size to be a run-stuffer for the huskers at 6-foot-2, 300 pounds. He recorded 11 solo tackles in his first season of play.

Nathan Gerry LB

Gerry earned the honor of being named an honorable mention for the Big Ten all freshmen team at linebacker. When Gerry arrived on campus at Nebraska from Sioux Falls South Dakota it was undefined where the exceptional athlete would play. For now he has found a spot at Linebacker. In High School Gerry was a fantastic player doing almost everything he could to help his team win three state championships. Gerry was also an exceptional sprinter in his prep days.

Kevin Gladney WR

Gladney red-shirted in 2013, but should be expected to bring his impact play abilities to the field in 2014. Gladney will immediately attempt to compete for playing time at an already deep wide receiver position in Tim Beck’s offense. Gladney could also be a candidate to possibly bolster some of the Huskers' poor return yards on special teams.

Cethan Carter TE

At 6-foot-4, 240 pounds Carter could become a very big part of the Huskers offense in the future. Big enough to make a big impact as a run blocker, but secure enough to be a safety outlet as a pass catcher for the young Husker signal callers, Carter will be a Husker to watch in coming years.
