5-Star CB Adoree’ Jackson Makes USC Trojans’ 2014 Class Complete
Many people were wondering if head coach Steve Sarkisian would bring the USC Trojans back to national college football prominence. Many people questioned if the Trojans would be elite in the years to come or if their time had passed after Lane Kiffin ran the program nearly into the ground. However, after landing four-star OL Damien Mama and now five-star CB Adoree’ Jackson on National Signing Day, it’s becoming clear that the Trojans are going up.
With the firing of Kiffin mid-season in 2013, many were worried about the state of the program, but Sarkisian left the Washington Huskies to become the head coach of a program he is very familiar with.
Although Sarkisian couldn’t quite get over the eight-win hump at Washington, he will likely have no problem doing so with a recruiting pipeline like the one he has with the Trojans.
The coach knows how to recruit and it’s becoming evident that the Trojans are becoming an elite-level recruiting program once again under their new head coach. Sarkisian has put together a top-20 recruiting class this year — or as it’s expected to be after the Jackson commitment — and has signed 18 players to the 2014 class.
Jackson is expected to be a game-changer for the Trojans as the No. 3 cornerback in the class and the No. 9 overall recruit, according to ESPN. He was the top undecided recruit left on the board today and USC’s “relatively quiet” National Signing Day made some serious noise.
Jackson’s speed will be a huge advantage at the next level and he’s even thinking about running track in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
