The Buckeyes started last season an impressive 12-0 going perfect through the regular season. But a loss in the Big 10 Championship game and then again in the Orange Bowl left Ohio State with nothing to show for it. This 2014 season offers a chance to begin a new run, and here are five games you can't miss along the way.

If you regularly read anything I write, you know I'm a big fan of what's going on at Indiana right now. The Hoosiers are in good shape to go into (and maybe even win) some shootouts this season because of the stellar play of platooning quarterbacks Tre Roberson and Nate Sudfeld. If this game gets into the 40s, look out.

vs. Virginia Tech (Sept. 6)

This has the potential to be an exciting game because of how early in the season it comes. Ohio State doesn't return a whole lot of experience from a year ago, meaning there will be new faces scattered out there on the field. The Hokies lose QB Logan Thomas, but let's face it, he was overrated anyway.

The week before Indiana is a road game against Minnesota, a team that is also starting to catch stride as of late. Sure, Philip Nelson transferred away. No big deal. Mitch Leidner is more than capable of filling the position, and the Gophers are working with an underrated defense.

This game could be potentially be devastating for either squad. Both teams will likely be in the hunt in the East Division at this point, and when it's so competitive and close, a loss can permanently set you back.

The same applies here. This is obviously going to go a long way in determining who earns the bid to the Big 10 Championship. It'll just come down to which style prevails at the right time.
