In a heated race that was down to two schools, the Texas A&M Aggies have come out on top of the race for top-ranked 2015 dual-threat quarterback recruit, Kyler Murray. The five-star QB is considered a game changer and will likely make an instant impact on the Aggies in 2015.
The talented young quarterback chose between Texas A&M and Oregon on Wednesday afternoon during a press conference in Allen, Texas.
Murray has led his high school to two consecutive 5A state titles and he looks to bring that ability to win to the next level — and he will do just that. Don’t be surprised if he makes people forget about Johnny Manziel a bit because Murray is the real deal.
In his junior season, Murray passed for 3,669 yards and 46 touchdowns while rushing for another 1,274 yards and 19 touchdowns. Any player that can account for nearly 5,000 yards and 65 touchdowns in a high school season deserves large amounts of respect.
Murray is the son of former Aggie great Kevin Murray who was the quarterback for Texas A&M between 1983-86 and he had over 6,500 yards passing as well as 48 touchdowns. He left the program as the all-time winningest QB.
Not having won a national title since 1939, the Aggies are desperate for one and Murray could be the missing piece.
Don’t be surprised if he comes in and takes the starting job from whoever held it in 2014 — between Kenny Hill and Kyle Allen.
I would not be shocked if the Aggies end up with either an SEC title or a national title with Murray as the starting quarterback. This is huge news for Aggie land.

With Murray’s commitment to the Aggies will come heightened expectations for the team whenever it is that he takes over under center. That may come as soon as this season if they struggle so be sure to not miss out on any of the action and get your Texas A&M football tickets today.
