Expected to succeed Jay Prosch in 2014, Gage Batten has a tough road ahead. Prosch made a name for himself by becoming one of the toughest players in college football. Now it’s up to Batten to try and replicate Prosch’s success.

Although he went undrafted in the 2014 NFL draft, Chris Davis was by far Auburn’s best cornerback in 2013. That’s something that Johnathan Ford will have a tough time replacing. That said, Ford has the talent to become successful, it’s just a matter of Ford proving he can overcome his inexperience.

3. DE Elijah Daniel

With explosive pass-rusher Dee Ford entering the NFL in 2014, there is a big hole in Auburn’s defense. However, it’s a hole that Elijah Daniel looks prepared to fill. Daniel isn’t as athletic as Ford was, but he has excellent instincts and should find success as a starter.

Greg Robinson, the 2014 NFL Draft’s No. 2 overall selection, is out for Auburn and Shon Coleman is in. Robinson was a truly special player, and although Coleman will probably never live up to his predecessor, there’s a chance he will become a decent left tackle.
