Joining the Cleveland Cavaliers is already paying off for LeBron James. Urban Meyer has reportedly told LeBron that he has a sideline pass to Ohio State‘s games for the 2014-15 college football season. Being the King really does have its perks. At the same time, this gives Meyer a huge recruiting tool going forward.
Meyer said LeBron has a sideline pass for Ohio State games. Said he already texted him and told him to be at every game.

If you are a five-star recruit and are choosing between Ohio State and whatever powerhouse team it may be, why not choose the Buckeyes, who will have LeBron hanging out on the sidelines? Sounds like a good deal to me. Even if LeBron is not at every game, the thought that he could be on the Buckeyes’ sideline has to be pretty cool.
As I am sure you already know, the Buckeyes are a very storied program. Meyer has done work ever since becoming the team’s head coach. After all, he did coach them to a perfect record in his first season.
This was a good season for LeBron to get a sideline pass. For one, Ohio State has the talent to challenge for a title. For two, it’s the Ohio State Buckeyes and every season is a good season to have a sideline pass.
Getting a text from Meyer to be at every single game has to feel pretty cool for LeBron. Sure, it is LeBron James, but getting a text from the Ohio State coach just proves that you made it. For the record, LeBron has made it.
LeBron skipped out on college hoops and took his talents straight to the NBA. That has proven to be a great decision. Just so we are on the same page, James has already won two championships, he is considered the best player in the world and he is no stranger to winning the MVP.
All of that aside, seeing LeBron at Ohio State football games is probably going to be a great experience for everyone involved. That is especially true for the athletes who decide to play for the school. Good move, Meyer.
