Al Golden is entering his fourth season as the Miami Hurricanes head coach and fans expect another great season. The Canes are ranked outside of the top-25 in the AP rankings and it hopes to crack that list sometime during the season. The Hurricanes are ready to start the 2014 season on a high note, but the they still have a few questions to answer as the season progresses.

The Canes open up against Louisville, their opponent from the Russell Athletic Bowl game, and this time around it hopes to avenge its 36-9 beat down. They also face off against No. 22 Nebraska, No. 23 North Carolina and No. 1 Florida State this season. The road is going to be a tough one for the Miami Hurricanes, but they surprised a lot of people last year and hope for a repeat performance in 2014.

The stud linebacker for the Hurricanes had six games with 10+ tackles, and a lot of scouts are predicting him as a first-round selection in the NFL Draft. Scouts say that Denzel Perryman is quick on his feet, has great football IQ, and he has great hands. It's hard to avoid the comparisons to the former Miami Hurricane Ray Lewis because he plays with that same nasty demeanor, and I'm curious to see if he can be even better in 2014.

Miami was ranked No. 90 in passing yards allowed, and they need to improve that number this season. The Canes did not have much of a pass rush to hurry opposing quarterbacks last season, and they gave up to some big passing numbers. This Canes' defense is still young and learning, so we'll chalk up 2013 as a year to get their feet wet. The Canes have to play better next season if they want to be title contenders.

Randy "Duke" Johnson is a lot of fun to watch when the ball is in his hands. He is a threat to score every time he has open space and blockers in front of him. His only problem is staying on the field. In Week 8, Johnson broke his ankle against the Florida Seminoles and it ended his 2013 season early. Before the injury, Johnson had 920 yards and six touchdowns. The Canes need Johnson on the field and healthy in 2014.

Quarterback Ryan Williams is recovering from right knee surgery, so the Hurricanes' starting job is up for grabs. The two top candidates are freshman Brad Kaaya and red-shirt senior Jake Heaps. The news out of camp is that freshman Kaaya has impressed the coaches with his maturity and he may have the upper hand in the competition. Whoever Al Golden chooses as his starter, they need to be ready to play Week 1 against the Louisville Cardinals.
