SEC Football: Alabama vs. LSU Game to Watch for Week 11
With Week 11 of SEC football comes one game that people across the nation have come to look forward to every year. This season, it may not mean quite as much as t it has recently, but it should still be considered a heavyweight bout that no one will want to miss.
These two teams will tee it up in 2014 and it’s guaranteed to be a hard hitting, entertaining affair. Rivals Nick Saban and Les Miles will match wits in a game that could either be for the lead in the SEC West or with one team playing spoiler. That will depend on what the Tigers do with the early part of their schedule.
Miles and the Tigers will have already played conference games against the Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels by the time they kickoff against the Crimson Tide. They may only be favored against the Rebels and have to go on the road against the Gators and Auburn. If they don’t win at least two of those three, the only role they can hope to play is spoiler for what will likely be an undefeated Crimson Tide team coming to Death Valley.
As it looks on paper now, the Tigers may not have enough on offense to pull off a win on the Crimson Tide defense. In addition, the power running game the Tide is likely to boast in 2014 will be a tough matchup for a defense that will be a little on the young side. How the new-look offense and defense of the Tigers progresses over the season will be telling of what this game may look like.
This clash of the titans matchup will come down to who can execute most flawlessly. In this, it seems impossible to believe the Crimson Tide won’t be the team to accomplish this. With more experience on the roster they should be the favorites to win this game despite going on the road.
Alabama wins a close one, continuing their march to the Georgia Dome.
Final score: Alabama 17, LSU 13
