Josh Shaw went from hero to zero way too fast. Days after the USC Trojan said he jumped off a balcony to rescue his nephew from drowning, he admitted that the story was a lie. Rightfully so, the football program is suspending him.

It remains to be seen how long Shaw will be suspended for, or how long he will be out from his apparent injury. Regardless, this is not the type of buzz that the USC football program needed.
Considering Shaw is a starter, this is a pretty big hit for the team, and Shaw.
After Manti Te’o‘s stunt, I figured athletes would be done lying to make themselves look good, or get some sort of buzz, but man was I wrong. Good job, Shaw. You are now the next Te’o, and in no way is that a good thing.
