Texas A&M QB Kenny Hill Torches South Carolina, Could Be Next Jameis Winston
The Texas A&M Aggies entered the 2014 college football season with a huge question mark at the quarterback position. Well, all questions about QB were answered against South Carolina as Kenny Hill torched the Gamecocks’ defense. Believe it or not, we could be looking at the next Jameis Winston.
Winston, as I am sure many people remember, broke out onto the college football scene in his first game last season. Winston threw for 356 yards and four TDs against an unranked Pittsburgh team.
Hill, who stole the show in the South Carolina vs. Texas A&M matchup, threw for 511 yards and three TDs. No, that is not a typo. May I remind you that the Gamecocks came into this one with the No. 9 ranking. They also only gave up 20.3 points per game last season. You could say that the 52 points they gave up against Hill and Co. was not expected.
Entering the season, I am sure many fans already missed Johnny Manziel, but that shouldn’t be the case after Texas A&M’s first game. Sure, Manziel was great and won a Heisman with the team, but that’s not the point. The point is Manziel’s replacement looks very capable of taking over this football team. Who knows, he could end up winning the Heisman this year.
One thing is for sure and that is the fact that the Aggies will climb up the rankings after their huge victory over South Carolina. The Gamecocks, well, they will definitely take a hit in the rankings.
Regardless, Hill very well could be the next Jameis Winston, but at the very least, his name entered the Heisman conversation after this contest.
