After successfully overcoming a first half challenge in the season opener, the Auburn Tigers are looking to prove that they are a top team in college football this year. Read these five bold predictions for the Tigers' game against San Jose State this Saturday.

Freshman kicker Daniel Carlson will have his big-time leg busy most of the season. With so many scoring chances, look for Malzahn to give kickoff opportunities to another kicker at some point in the game.

Last week, the Tigers defense was able to make a play and force a pick-six on Arkansas QB Brandon Allen. The San Jose State offense has far less talent, especially along the offensive line. Look for a lot of punt returns for the Tigers as well as a chance or two for defensive touchdowns.

Auburn’s offense is so good that it should be confident to go for it on most fourth downs. The Tigers won’t see fourth down very often, and they won’t need to punt until Coach Malzahn is deep into the reserves.

While the Spartans hung 42 points last week against North Dakota, the Auburn Tigers are no FCS foe. In fact, Auburn may be the best FBS team in the nation. While the defense has looked suspect at times, look for Auburn to be much improved on the defensive end.

The Tigers produced 595 yards of total offense in Week 1 against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Look for Auburn to add about 100 yards and quite a few more points this week.
