5 Bold Predictions for NC State-Florida State

Florida State will travel to NC State in week five to take on the Wolfpack and it won't be the type of cupcake game which the Seminoles thought it might be when the season began as NC State is 4-0. With no losses between the two teams, the winner of this matchup will have a leg up in conference play to start the young season.

Let's take a look at five bold predictions I believe will happen in this game.

Jameis Winston Will Pass for 400 Yards and Four TDs

Jameis Winston has been receiving a lot of criticism for his suspension and the handling of the one-game benching when he came out of the locker room in full pads. Winston will respond to criticism by passing for over 400 yards and four touchdowns.

Playing at home will be very beneficial for the NC State Wolfpack and I believe they will hold the lead in this tough matchup until early in the third quarter. The Wolfpack will catch many people off guard by putting up a solid fight at home.

Karlos Williams is still trying to reach his first 100-yard game in his young career. It hasn't been the easiest of tasks trying to replace last year's running back stud, Devonta Freeman, but Williams is doing his best with what he has. Williams has just 177 yards on the year, but he will reach the 100-yard mark against NC State.

NC State's Premier Rushing Attack Will be Held Under 150 Yards

NC State has one of the best rushing attacks in the ACC, ranking 25th in the entire nation with approximately 250 yards per game on the ground. However, Florida State will hold Shadrach Thornton, Jacoby Brissett and the rest of the run game to less than 150 yards -- an impressive feat for the defense.

Florida State might not hold the lead for good until the third quarter, but once the Seminoles take the lead, they won't look back. Florida State will win the game by three touchdowns and the final score won't reflect how close the first two quarters really were.
