Florida QB Treon Harris’ Suspension Will Likely Put Will Muschamp On the Hot Seat Again

All looked lost for the Florida Gators in their contest with the Tennessee Volunteers. After all, the team couldn’t manage a single point until the fourth quarter. The reason for their 10-point surge in the fourth is largely being credited to QB Treon Harris’ play. Unfortunately for the Gators, Harris was just recently suspended.

This move will likely lead to head coach Will Muschamp going back on the hot seat. Well, it wasn’t like he was completely off of it after this win, but benching Jeff Driskel in place of Harris was a big step in getting the fans’ love back.

This suspension could not have come at a worse time for Florida. Driskel is not a fan favorite right now to say the least. He could only manage 59 passing yards against Tennessee. Oh yeah, he also had three interceptions.

Although Harris’ stats weren’t amazing, he still provided a huge spark to the team.

For the time being, Driskel will more than likely be the starter, and that probably will not go over well with fans. The QB has been given so many chances and he just can’t seem to compete on the biggest stage.

At this point, he is more of a liability than anything for the Gators. For people who feel like arguing that, just remember, once again, that he only threw for 59 yards and a whopping three interceptions against the Vols.

That is pretty, dare I say, pathetic. Hopefully for Florida’s sake, something good comes out of this.

Fans will certainly not be happy by this Harris news, which will likely result in Muschamp’s hot seat heating up once again.
