Week 6 in college football was unbelievably entertaining. There were upsets, close games and amazing plays all day Saturday. Could Week 7 be just as wild? Heck yes, and that’s part of what makes college football and sports fun to watch and follow. The ACC has six games on the docket this week, all on Saturday, where three AP ranked teams are in action, including top-ranked FSU. Will a ranked ACC team fall this week? Let’s make some predictions!

BC is coming off a loss to Colorado State, and NC State was trounced by Clemson 41-0 last week. Both teams are looking to rebound. The Wolfpack have the better offense (33.7 PPG vs. 29.6 PPG), but the Eagles have the edge on defense (20.4 PPG vs. 28.5 PPG). NC State has lost 10 straight conference games. BC has won five of the past seven contests against NC State.

Duke won the Coastal division last season, but lost in the conference championship to FSU. Georgia Tech is one of two ACC teams that are still undefeated and one of three undefeated in conference play. QB Justin Thomas is a good fit in Tech’s triple option offense. Duke is a well-coached, veteran team, and QB Anthony Boone does not make many mistakes. If Duke’s defense is disciplined on Saturday they could pull off the upset.

They haven’t played each other since 1998, and Miami is 5-0 at home against Cincy and 10-1 in the series. It’s possible Cincy QB Gunner Kiel may not play because of bruised ribs, but backup Munchie Legaux has seen playing time and is capable for sure. Miami’s defense is better (ranked 52nd while Cincy’s is ranked 114th), but Cincy has the edge on offense. The Bearcats are ranked 57th and the Hurricanes are ranked 81st.

FSU hasn’t looked as dominant as they did in 2013 when they won the national championship, but they are still one of the best teams in nation. Reigning Heisman Trophy winner QB Jameis Winston is a difference maker even if he is a bonehead off the field. Syracuse freshman QB A.J. Long will make his debut on Saturday when he splits time with Austin Wilson since Terrel Huntis out with a broken fibula. FSU simply has more talent.

UNC began the season ranked 23rd in the AP Poll. After starting 2-3, with three straight losses (including two in conference), they are unranked and they have to play the sixth ranked team on the road. Even though this could be a trap game for the Irish -- last week they secured a tough a 17-14 win over Stanford and in Week 7 they play FSU -- UNC’s defense is atrocious and Notre Dame should have no problem putting up points.

#SilentOut, an idea of radio host and Clemson fan Clemson Tom, will be awesome if it’s pulled off. On the field, both teams can play defense. Clemson is allowing 22.0 PPG (47th) and Louisville is allowing 21.7 PPG (6th). Clemson’s offense, scoring 40.4 PPG (19th), is more impressive than Louisville’s, which is putting up 33.3 PPG (53rd), and they look even better with Deshaun Watson under center.
