Yet another crazy weekend in college football. Top 10 teams didn't necessarily drop like flies this week, but there still were some upsets and some great moments. Although it may have been weird to say entering the season, Alabama and Auburn no longer look like the favorites in the SEC.

With that, we look at the top 25 rankings for Week 8.

25. UCLA Bruins (4-2)

The final score may have read 42-30 in the Ducks' favor, but make no mistake about it, the UCLA Bruins got their butts kicked (until the fourth). The Bruins have now dropped back-to-back games.

24. Texas A&M Aggies (5-2)

At this point, Texas A&M is lucky it is even ranked. Sure, the Aggies have faced two College Football Playoff contenders in a row, but once upon a time — last week — they were CFP contenders as well.

23. Marshall Thundering Herd (6-0)

There aren't a whole lot of undefeated teams left in college football, but the Marshall Thundering Herd are one of them. In no way does Marshall have as tough of a schedule as an Auburn, but going undefeated is going undefeated, assuming it does.

22. Stanford Cardinal (4-2)

The Stanford Cardinal are on a one-game winning streak. However, if this team plans on staying in the Pac-12 title race, it has to knock off Arizona State on the road next.

21. USC Trojans (4-2)

The USC Trojans may have saved their season by knocking off the Arizona Wildcats on the road. Unfortunately, the team still has a few more tests left in 2014.

20. Clemson Tigers (4-2)

The Clemson Tigers may have two losses already, but those losses have come against Florida State and Georgia. Clemson has been on quite a roll lately, and it still has a shot at making the ACC title game. However, it needs some help, though, as FSU is at the top of the Atlantic.

19. Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-1)

Nebraska had the week off, which is probably good since it is coming off of a loss to Michigan State. A road matchup against Northwestern is up next.

18. East Carolina Pirates (5-1)

The East Carolina Pirates got the victory this Saturday and that is really all that matters. Even if the team runs the table, it would be very hard to see them making the College Football Playoff, but you never know.

The Kansas State Wildcats' only loss of the year came against Auburn. However, it will have a very tough test against Oklahoma next. A win would certainly gain the team some national attention.

The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off of a thrilling win against USC. They got the week off, but will take on Stanford in their next game. The Pac-12 picture isn't very clear right now, but Arizona State could hand the Cardinal their third loss of the season regardless.

15. Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-1)

Oklahoma State is on a five-game winning streak, but will take on TCU next. The Horned Frogs may be coming off of a loss, but they are legit Big 12 title contenders.

Arizona may have lost to USC, but it still managed to beat Oregon. It was also 5-0 entering the battle with the Trojans.

It's amazing to think how little attention this team has gotten since Braxton Miller went down, but then again, it's not like the Buckeyes have played the toughest competition. Unfortunately, that trend will continue for this Ohio State team.

12. Michigan State Spartans (5-1)

The Michigan State Spartans may have knocked off Purdue, but the Boilermakers certainly put up a fight. Still, the Spartans are the team to beat in the Big 10.

11. Auburn Tigers (5-1)

Are the Mississippi schools really that good, or are Auburn and Alabama just a wee bit overrated? Regardless, the Tigers are no longer undefeated, and their rough stretch will continue against South Carolina next.

Rankings go out the window for the Red River Rivalry.

Texas almost stole a victory against the Sooners, but Oklahoma managed to keep its playoff hopes alive.

The struggle is real. The Alabama Crimson Tide are a very talented team. There is no doubt about that, but they do not look as good as Ole Miss or Mississippi State, or many teams for that matter.

8. TCU Horned Frogs (4-1)

TCU managed to let a big lead slip away from it, but the team showed that it is legit regardless. Yes, Baylor won the game, but the Horned Frogs were so close to knocking off Oklahoma and the Bears in back-to-back contests.

7. Oregon Ducks (5-1)

The Oregon Ducks flexed their muscles against UCLA on the road. Oregon may have a loss, but it is still the team to beat in the Pac-12.

6. Georgia Bulldogs (5-1)

Todd Gurley may be one of the best players in the country, but he was not needed in the Bulldogs' game against Missouri (won 34-0). At this point, Georgia should have no problem winning the SEC East.

The North Carolina Tar Heels gave the Notre Dame Fighting Irish quite the scare. Notre Dame will take on Florida State next. That very well could be the game of the year.

Just in case you thought Baylor wasn't a true threat to make the playoff this year, they managed to come back against TCU. In the process, Bryce Petty showed us why he is truly one of the best players in college football.

Florida State may still be undefeated, but you cannot honestly tell me they are having a better season than the two teams in front of them. I understand FSU doesn't play a top 10 team on a weekly basis, but you have to reward the teams that do. We did.

2. Ole Miss Rebels (6-0)

This is not a dream. It may feel like one, but it is not. Ole Miss really is one of the top-ranked teams in the country.

The Rebels beat Alabama last week. Although their victory against Texas A&M this Saturday was not as shocking, it was still pretty solid.

Mississippi State has now beaten three top 10 teams in a row. That is simply unheard of. The Bulldogs absolutely deserve the No. 1 ranking in this week's poll because of that.

Can you imagine how awesome this year's Egg Bowl will be if Ole Miss and Mississippi State can both stay undefeated up until that point?
