Ole Miss Rebels Have Favorable Remaining Schedule

The Ole Miss Rebels are one of the hottest teams in college football, and they have a big advantage in their last six games.

The schedule that the Rebels face down the stretch is tough, but manageable. The toughest opponents must visit Oxford, while the road games are against teams that are having down seasons.

This weekend, Ole Miss hosts the Tennessee Volunteers, who are still looking for their first SEC win of 2014.

The Rebels then travel to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers. While that will still be a tough game, this is certainly not a vintage LSU team, which makes that game a little easier.

Ole Miss then returns home to face the defending SEC champions, the Auburn Tigers. Being at home in that contest could prove to be pivotal.

The Rebels then face FCS opponent Presbyterian, have a week off, then hit the road to face the Arkansas Razorbacks, who have not won a conference game in nearly two years.

On November 29, Ole Miss hosts its arch rivals, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, in the Egg Bowl. This is another case where the tougher opponents have to visit Oxford.

Ole Miss has already faced (and beaten) the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Texas A&M Aggies, the latter of which was on the road.

The schedule is tough, but Ole Miss gets a break by having Auburn and Mississippi State at home. It remains to be seen if the Rebels can win the SEC West, but the schedule is certainly in their favor.
