NCAA Football TCU Horned Frogs

TCU Proves it is Best Team in Big 12 With Rout of Oklahoma State

The TCU Horned Frogs are certainly going to be wondering what if after this game (what if they would have beaten the Baylor Bears). Regardless of that disappointing loss, TCU just proved that it is the best team in the Big 12 with its rout of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

On a day where TCU looked great on both sides of the ball, the Oklahoma Sooners and Baylor both went down.

The Bears were handed their first loss of the year, but it is evident that this team does not have an elite defense. Baylor has one heck of an offense, but who knows if that is going to be enough to win the conference title. That elite offense was enough to get by the Horned Frogs, so I guess there is that.

Regardless, TCU could be one of the best teams in the country, let alone the Big 12.

Against Oklahoma State, TCU managed to score 42 and only gave up nine. People cannot forget the fact that the Cowboys were averaging 37.2 points per game entering the contest with the Horned Frogs.

TCU only has a challenge or two left in the 2014 season, which likely makes it the front-runner at this point. Despite the fact that the Horned Frogs’ offensive and defensive units are some of the best in college football, it has a pretty manageable schedule left.

Although the loss against Baylor could end up keeping TCU out of the College Football Playoff, it is proving to be the best team in the conference. Baylor loss or not, with how good this team plays on both sides of the ball, it is going to be very hard for the CFP committee to deny TCU a spot if the team only has one loss.
