As if the Florida State Seminoles didn’t have enough off-the-field issues this year, here is one more for them to deal with:

You would think athletes would learn by now.

The last thing Florida State needs is more bad press, and another suspension. That is especially true when you take into account that Williams has 378 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the season. Not only is he a senior, but he is the leading rusher on the team.

With all of the troubles quarterback Jameis Winston has faced, this is the last thing FSU needed. Regardless, if there is evidence that Williams was involved in this domestic abuse case, you would think a suspension would be coming next, which is clearly the right thing.

Who knows how the team will do if Williams does eventually get suspended, but a key piece of the offense would, without a doubt, be taken away.

Florida State has a great chance of going undefeated this year. Not only is it one of the most talented teams in the country, but it also knocked off its toughest test of the season in the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Plus, it has a pretty manageable schedule the rest of the way.

With all the off-the-field issues this team has faced this season, it’s almost like this team doesn’t want to succeed. That is clearly not the case, but head coach Jimbo Fisher needs to start making examples out of his players regardless, assuming they are actually committing the crimes.
