The Florida State Seminoles are in a great position when it comes to making the College Football Playoff. You better believe they will be getting every teams’ best effort from here on out, though. With that said, FSU will take on the Virginia Cavaliers this weekend, who aren’t necessarily having the best season (4-5 record).

Florida State is playing at home, it is the much better team on paper and, once again, the Cavaliers already have five losses. Don’t be surprised when the Seminoles bounce out to a 21-point lead right away.

The Cavaliers are averaging 153.7 rushing yards per game on the year. Not great, but not the worst in college football either. However, they are coming off a 22-yard rushing performance. Although I imagine they will rush for over 22 yards, I am predicting the Seminoles to hold them to under 100.

Virginia is averaging just 26.7 points per game, while Florida State is giving up 22.8 per game on average. The Seminoles D will allow less than 20 in this contest. For what it’s worth, the Cavaliers only scored 10 points last game.

Florida State is averaging 38.4 points per game, which is good enough for 15th best in the country. The Seminoles are playing at home, they are looking to finish strong and they will reach the 50-point mark in this one.

Jameis Winston isn’t having the best season we have ever seen, but he has still been good enough to lead his team to a perfect record … so far. Winston has yet to have a really big game this year, but that big game will come this weekend. Call it a hunch, but I am predicting Winston to throw five touchdowns.
