At noon on Saturday, the beasts meet the basement of the ACC Coastal Division. Duke (8-1, 4-1) will be playing to get one step closer to a berth in the ACC Championship game, and Virginia Tech (4-5, 1-4) will be playing for pride. Can Virginia Tech possibly find a way to upset their second ranked opponent on the road? Or will Duke coast toward their second straight Coastal title?

Although Virginia Tech is a confusing opponent (1-4 in conference, but beating Ohio State on the road), this can still be classified as a look-ahead game. Duke has their hated rival North Carolina the following Thursday, and this may be in their collective subconscious during kickoff. Frank Beamer will have Virginia Tech ready to go, and if Duke isn't up for the task right away, the Blue Devils will be facing a deficit early.

Duke currently allows the lowest percentage of QB sacks on dropbacks (1.2 percent) in the nation. Even though the Duke offensive line has only allowed four sacks, look for the Hokies to skew this number with three more and add to their current total of 31.

Not all predictions will be bad ones for the Blue Devils. Look for the tandem of Shaun Wilson and Shaquille Powell to pummel Virginia Tech's rush defense which currently surrenders 165 yards per game.

It wouldn't be a game involving Virginia Tech without a little Beamer Ball. Expect a touchdown from an unlikely contributor from Virginia Tech's special teams unit to come up big on Saturday. Every point in this game will matter, and the six from special teams could decide the outcome.

By Saturday evening the narrative will read: all Virginia Tech does is upset top 25 teams on the road. First it was Ohio State, and now it will be Duke. This will kick off what should be another crazy weekend in college football.
