Both the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Nebraska Cornhuskers are coming off a loss, which means both teams will clearly be looking to get back on track this weekend.

Nebraska and Minnesota both have two losses in the Big 10, and need some help to make the conference title game. Winning out would certainly help and is probably needed.

Unfortunately for the Golden Gophers, they will have to take on the Wisconsin Badgers after this game. Nebraska won’t have it much easier, as it will close out the regular season against the Iowa Hawkeyes. All four of these teams are in the running for the Big 10 West, so things are going to get really interesting in the last couple weeks of the season.

In terms of this contest, I like Nebraska to get back on track. I also believe Ameer Abdullah will run wild, meaning he will rack up the rushing yards and could find the end zone a time or two. If not, then this one could go to Minnesota.

Regardless, it will help some that Nebraska will be playing at home. For what it’s worth, the Cornhuskers have only lost to good teams this year (Michigan State, Wisconsin), while Minnesota dropped a questionable game to Illinois. There was nothing questionable about the losses to TCU or Ohio State — both teams are great.

Yeah, things are definitely going to get very interesting in the Big 10 in the last couple weeks of the season to say the least.

Prediction: Minnesota 20, Nebraska 24
