Michigan and Ohio State have had some great games over the years. The last 20 years in particular have provided some exciting matchups. Here are the top five games in the rivalry over that timeframe.

This was the game that ended Michigan’s seven-game losing streak to OSU, which was the longest in the school’s history. Denard Robinson was spectacular both in the air and on the ground. He had 337 total yards and five touchdowns. It was a down year for OSU, but still a very exciting game.

OSU came into the game undefeated, but Michigan wasn’t going to back down. OSU was in control early, leading 9-0 at the half. Michigan stormed back in the second half, led by Brian Griese coming in off the bench. On the second play of the half, Griese threw a 68 yard touchdown pass to Tai Streets, which sparked the comeback victory.

This was another game where OSU was undefeated going in. This time, however, Michigan was unable to pull off the upset. With 32 seconds left, Michigan scored a touchdown to pull within one point. They decided to go for two instead of settling for OT, but were unable to convert. Devin Gardner was impressive in defeat, throwing for 451 yards and recording five total touchdowns.

Dubbed the “Game of the Century,” this game didn’t disappoint. Both teams came in undefeated and the winner was guaranteed a spot in the National Championship game. It was a back-and-forth contest with OSU threatening to pull away multiple times. Every time OSU would get a double-digit lead, however, Chad Henne and Mike Hart would lead Michigan back. In the end, U of M fell just short and OSU went on to lose in the National Championship game.

Michigan came into the game undefeated and ranked No. 1 in the country. OSU was also having a great season, coming in with just one loss and ranked fourth in the country. With the Rose Bowl on the line, Michigan scored the first 20 points of the game. OSU came back scoring 14 straight, but ultimately fell short. Michigan went on to win the Rose Bowl and become National Champions.
