The No. 2 Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers will meet for the 118th meeting in the Civil War rivalry. Oregon holds a commanding lead in the series with a record of 61-46-10. The Ducks are also looking ahead toward the Pac-12 championship game and College Football Playoff. The Beavers, on the other hand, are looking towards a bowl game after the season. Here are five bold predictions for this weekend's matchup.

Oregon's freshman running back Royce Freeman has looked very impressive this season, rushing for 1,050 yards along with 16 touchdowns. He's averaging 95 yards on the ground per game and is projected to have over 100 yards rushing against Oregon State's lousy rushing defense. The Beavers give up an average of 154.5 yards on the ground and have allowed five 100-yard rushers so far this season.

The Beavers are averaging 26.3 points per game but should be kept well below that number in this rivalry game. Expect Oregon to come out swinging when it comes to their play on defense. The Ducks should hold the Beavers to under 21 points and cause turnovers in the process. The Oregon defense allows an average of 23.6 points per game, but they have held opponents below that mark four times this season.

The Ducks' offense is notorious for scoring and the effectiveness of their fast-paced style of play-calling. Head coach Mark Helfrich will use the Civil War game to get the Ducks ready for the Pac-12 championship game and beyond. Don't be surprised if Oregon finds the end zone early and often in this game. It could become a blowout early and there could be a possible Jeff Lockie sighting for the Ducks.

2. Oregon State Won't Have a 100-Yard Rusher

Oregon State has some very capable running backs but don't expect them to matter much in this rivalry game. The Oregon defense will be ready for the Beaver rushing attack and should hold the line against Terron Ward and Storm Woods. Oregon State will have to rely more on quarterback Sean Mannion to take care of the offense.

1. Oregon QB Marcus Mariota Will Bave Both Passing and Rushing TDs

After setting the Pac-12 record for touchdowns in a season last week (42) against Colorado, Marcus Mariota will continue to add to that mark. The Ducks quarterback has scored a rushing and passing touchdown In six games this season. He has also thrown for at least one touchdown in every game as a Duck.
