Body of Ohio State DL Kosta Karageorge Found Near Campus
In some heart-breaking news out of Columbus, OH, the body of Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge has been found near campus. After being reported as missing on Wednesday prior to the Buckeyes’ Senior Day showdown with the Michigan Wolverines, Karageorge’s body was discovered on Sunday in a dumpster near his apartment with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Shortly before leaving his apartment at 2am on Wednesday morning, he sent a text to his mother alluding to concussions taking a toll on his mental health. That conversation is obviously for another day, but could add fuel to the concussions-in-football feud that has been ongoing for years.
Our hearts go out to Karageorge’s family and the entire Ohio State community.
