The Seminoles come into the playoff riding a 29-game winning streak and have never lost with Jameis Winston at quarterback. Oregon will make FSU work to continue the longest winning streak currently in college football. The Ducks are second in the nation in total offense, averaging 46.3 points per game and have the most efficient offense in the country.

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota was named a Heisman trophy finalist and should win the award before the matchup with FSU on New Year's Day. He is on pace to have a huge game for the Ducks over the Seminoles' defense, which gives up an average of 378.3 total yards per game. Mariota alone has averaged 342.4 total yards this season. Oregon is also No. 1 in total points score with 602 this season.

The Seminoles have kept their winning streak alive this season, but have done so with an average margin of victory of 13.1 per game. FSU will have to shake off the jitters and score against Oregon, which leads the same category with an average of 30.2 per game. In the past seven games, the 'Noles have averaged just 6.14 points over their opponents.

The Ducks come into the national semifinal playoff game having never won a National Championship, and are the only team in the playoff with that distinction. The last time Oregon played for a title was on Jan. 10, 2011, losing to Auburn 22-19. The Ducks hope to erase that defeat and win a championship for the first time in school history.
