Central Michigan Pulls Off Perhaps Greatest Play Ever On Hail Mary

Entering the fourth quarter, the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl had turned into a blowout and looked like it would just be another unmemorable and meaningless bowl game. Western Kentucky led Central Michigan 49-14, but what transpired over the next twelve-and-a-half minutes turned the snooze-fest into an all-time classic that won’t be forgotten any time soon.

The Chippewas of Central Michigan scored six-straight touchdowns; all from the arm of quarterback Cooper Rush. The final touchdown came on a play that started from their own 25-yard line, with only one second remaining in the game. Following the touchdown, Central Michigan attempted a two-point conversion to win the game, but failed on a fade in the endzone.
