5 Recruits the USC Trojans Still Hope To Sign

Head coach Steve Sarkisian wants more than anyone to return the Trojans to national powerhouse status. The key to that in college football, as always, is winning the recruiting wars. The state of California has a very plentiful base of athletes to choose from. Keeping them in-state and away from Oregon, UCLA and other prestigious PAC-12 programs will be the challenge. Here are five names Sarkisian still hopes will commit to the cardinal and gold.

Kevin Scott is a three-star recruit, but attends high school a mere 15 minutes down the road from USC's campus at Salesian High School in Los Angeles. At 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, Scott has visited Miami, Purdue and Mississippi, though his interest levels with USC remain high.

Rasheem Green is a five-star recruit and the 33rd ranked recruit nationally. He'll either fit in as a defensive end in a 3-4 scheme, or possibly as a DT in a 4-3 one. Based on that, his decision could depend a lot on his future school's implemented system. He has visited ASU, Miami, Oregon and USC, so it would appear his preference is to play for a PAC-12 program.

Another California native, Houston played his high school ball in the greater Los Angeles area for Junipero Serra as a teammate of Rasheem Green. Ranked 30th in America amongst all high school seniors and second at his position, he currently has offers on the table from USC, Oregon, ASU, Miami and Oklahoma.

Porter Gustin hails from Salem Hills High School in Utah. A bulking mass at 6-foot-5, 237 pounds, he can move well for his size and is book smart as well, boasting a 3.7 GPA. His highest interest levels remain with committing to Ohio State, USC or ASU.

Ranked first at his position, second in the state of California and third nationally, Iman Marshall is easily the biggest fish Sarkisian hopes he lands from his 2015 recruiting class. Numerous programs are showing interest in him, as you could probably guess. Marshall has not visited USC, though he has only lukewarm interest in the campuses he has visited -- FSU, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oregon. There's still hope for the Trojans yet.
