Although Lou Holtz often walks the line between entertaining and incomprehensible, the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish football coach may be walking away from any connection with college football for good.

According to ESPN, Holtz is leaving “the Mothership” to spend more time on his golf game and with his wife. Holtz told a Notre Dame outlet he planned on retiring after the 2014 season and it appears Holtz’s forecast is now final.
