The Florida State Seminoles fan base and media have been under fire in recent days.
Former head coach Bobby Bowden really created a stir when he said Heisman winning quarterback Jameis Winston, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, was an embarrassment to the university. He later tried to defend those comments.
Now, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum is taking his shots.
While discussing the Florida State media, Finebaum decided to throw some major shade their way by calling them the “lowest common denominator.”
“A very small percentage of FSU fans give that fan base a bad name, and some of them are in the media down there,” Finebaum said, via Barrett Sallee of Bleacher Report.
“There are a couple of people who run blogs and websites and are on Twitter at FSU who are the lowest common denominator.”
Ouch.
That is going to bring out the feisty side of FSU Twitter.
It’s only fair to point out that Paul Finebaum is a noted SEC homer, so this could get really interesting once the quotes begin making the rounds.
