At a time when former Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston continues to get blasted in the media, a fellow FSU alum has stepped up to his defense.

Former Seminoles defensive back Myron Rolle, who played from 2006-2008 before leaving to spend a year at Oxford on the Rhodes Scholarship, took to social media to defend Winston after comments from former Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden.

Bowden called Winston an embarrassment to the university, but Rolle clearly doesn’t see it that way.

That tweet was just as well thought out as you would expect from a guy as intelligent as Rolle.

Not only did he provide positive support for a fellow ex-Nole, but he took a jab directly at Bowden with the final line of his tweet. Bowden previously said he had never met Jameis Winston, and Rolle has not forgotten.
