The Florida Gators are coming off an underwhelming 2014 campaign after finishing with a 7-5 record. They lost big talent like Dante Fowler Jr., but the future is bright for the Gators. Here are five reasons why fans should be excited about the upcoming season.

Harris is part of the quarterback battle taking place in Gainesville. Harris threw for 1,019 yards with nine touchdowns and four interceptions in 2014. His ability to be a dual-threat was on full display as he rushed for 332 yards and three TDs. His skills could work well in Jim McElwain's offense this upcoming season.

The Gators lost running back Matt Jones to the NFL, but they still have a capable back in Kelvin Taylor. He rushed for 565 yards and team-leading six TDs in 2014. Taylor should be the lead back for the Gators in the upcoming season.

Every quarterback needs a top target, and Robinson may just fill that role. He put together a productive 2014 campaign, collecting 58 receptions for 833 yards and seven touchdowns. Expect him to be the the most productive receiver on the team in 2015.
2. Vernon Hargreaves III

The Gators' top corner, Hargreaves, will be back in Gainesville in 2015. He brings with him a shutdown 2014 season in which he collected three interceptions and 13 pass deflections. He looks to be part of a top 10 defensive back corps in the nation. If their defensive backs live up to their hype, the Gators could find themselves in the top 25.

Hiring McElwain was the best thing the Gators did over the offseason. McElwain will bring a more explosive offense back to Gainesville. He was the puppeteer behind the Alabama Crimson Tide teams that won the national championship in 2011 and 2012. Expect the Gators' offense to be more explosive than they have been the past couple seasons.
