Location: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, OK

Line: Oklahoma State (-8.5)

The No. 20 Oklahoma State Cowboys (4-0, 1-0) were able to escape a potential upset in Week 4 and return home to Stillwater looking to continue their perfect season and make a run at the Big 12 title against an under-the-radar Kansas State Wildcats (3-0, 0-0) club looking to prove they’re the real deal.

K-State has used a balanced and efficient offensive attack, averaging 34.3 points per game, to jump out to their undefeated record. Quarterback Joe Hubener has been an effective dual-threat option leading the Wildcats, throwing for 585 yards, rushing for 105 yards, and scoring five total touchdowns in the first three games. The defense, after allowing just three total points and less than 300 yards per game in the first two weeks, got exposed a bit against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, giving up 451 yards and 33 points, though the team found a way to win 39-33.

Oklahoma State is coming off a near upset on the road last week when they needed some help from the Texas Longhorns to score the final six points of the game and win 30-27. Mason Rudolph has been explosive so far this season, averaging 309.3 yards per game while completed 67.7 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and three interceptions. In the second half against Texas, however, Rudolph looked uncomfortable and unsettled after suffering an apparent hand injury. All reports out of Stillwater are that his hand will be fine this week, which means Rudolph should be key for OSU to defend their home turf on Saturday.

While most of the attention in the Big 12 title race has been paid elsewhere in the conference, Oklahoma State and Kansas State are dark horses to make some major noise down the stretch. The winner of this game will position themselves as an early contender as conference play starts to heat up.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 38, Kansas State 27
