Stadium: Amon G. Carter Stadium

Line: TCU (-15)

And just like that, Charlie Strong‘s seat is starting to burn up. Although the Texas Longhorns didn’t enter the season with College Football Playoff written all over them, this is Texas we are talking about. Patience isn’t much of an option for this football powerhouse.

Texas was supposed to take a huge step forward — or a step at the very least — in 2015. Instead, the team has already lost three games. In two of those contests, special teams handed the opposing team the W.

And then there is TCU. The Horned Frogs are 4-0, Trevone Boykin is a top Heisman contender and the team in general has a great shot of making the playoff … unlike last season when TCU was handed the ultimate snub card.

A victory in this game would certainly help Strong keep his job, but Texas has only beaten Rice on the season — do you really expect it to knock off the third-ranked team in the country?

The Longhorns could very easily be 3-1 right now. Other than a three-point showing against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, they have been competitive.

Being competitive or not, Boykin, as usual, is going to shine — and Texas is not going to have a single answer.

Things will continue to get wicked hot for the Longhorns, and in no way is that a good thing.

PREDICTION: Longhorns 21, Horned Frogs 49
