Stadium: Michigan Stadium

Big Ten teams should be in fear of the Michigan Wolverines.

Here’s two reasons why: (1) Michigan has recorded back-to-back shutouts. (2) Jim Harbaugh is apparently a genius.

That said, the Northwestern Wildcats have been a pleasant surprise this season, as they are a perfect 5-0 on the year and continue to climb up the rankings.

The biggest thing for fans to know entering this contest: Northwestern is ranked No. 1 in the country in points allowed per game and Michigan is ranked No. 2 in that same department. So if fans were expecting a high-scoring affair, they will likely be very disappointed.

Northwestern’s marquee win of the season (so far) came against the Stanford Cardinal. Michigan’s was against the BYU Cougars.

Although the Wildcats rock the higher ranking, have yet to lose and have arguably the best defense in the country, give me Harbaugh’s squad at home.

Although one could certainly say the Wolverines don’t have the offense to win a championship, their defense is going to keep them in the national spotlight all season long, and that spotlight will become very bright once this battle is in the books.

Good luck playing at the Big House, Northwestern.

PREDICTION: Wildcats 14, Wolverines 21
