TV Schedule: Thursday, Oct. 8, 9:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Stadium: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Line: USC (-17)

The USC Trojans had the perfect bye week. You know, since ranked teams went down early and often last week. Perfect bye week or not, USC can’t afford to lose again, which is the case for any one-loss team that has hopes of making the College Football Playoff.

Luckily for the Trojans, they have these two things going for them: (1) They play the 2-2 Washington Huskies this week. (2) They get this contest at home.

Both of Washington’s losses have come against quality teams (Boise State Broncos, California Golden Bears), and both losses came by single digits.

Whether the case, the Huskies will have the impossible task of trying to contain Cody Kessler. The Heisman contender already has 1,297 passing yards and 15 TDs in 2015. Good luck containing that, Washington.

The biggest thing Washington has going for it is the fact that the Trojans take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the contest after this one. Trap games are a real thing, folks. USC has found itself in many trap games over the years.

Of course, USC is coming off a bye, so it should be more than ready to take on the Huskies. Therefore, fans can expect another great outing out of Kessler, and for the Trojans to move one step closer to a Pac-12 title. Side note: They still have a long way to go to make that one happen.

PREDICTION: Huskies 20, Trojans 38
