TV Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 10, 8:00 p.m. ET, BTN

Stadium: High Point Solutions Stadium

Line: Michigan State (-14)

So far, so good — well, for the Michigan State Spartans, that is. The Spartans might not look like the most dominant team in the county, but they hold a perfect 5-0 record, which is all that matters.

The real test will be against the Michigan Wolverines in Michigan State’s next game, but it must get past this trap game first.

Meanwhile, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights have already dropped two games on the season, and likely have no chance at the Big 10 title as a result (no real shockers there).

The Spartans have the perfect record, the star quarterback (Connor Cook) and the College Football Playoff aspirations going for them. Surely, they won’t let that all fade away against Rutgers, although stranger things have happened for top ranked teams playing on the road.

Although Michigan State hasn’t been the most dominant team in college football (it only beat the Purdue Boilermakers by three points last week, after all), the Spartans should have no problem moving to 6-0 on the year.

For all it’s worth, Michigan State knocked off Rutgers by the score of 45-3 last season, and 2015 likely won’t be much different.

Translation: Spartans fans should be looking forward to a blowout victory, which will really set the stage for the showdown with the Wolverines.

PREDICTION: Spartans 33, Scarlet Knights 10
