TV Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 24, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS

Stadium: Bryant-Denny Stadium

Line: Alabama (-15.5)

The Alabama Crimson Tide are coming off one of their best wins of the season (and one of the best road wins of any team this season). Therefore, predicting the Tennessee Volunteers to pull off the major upset might be wishful thinking — and then some.

With Butch Jones taking over, the Volunteers were expected to compete for SEC titles sooner rather than later. Well, Tennessee doesn’t seem to be improving enough, and it has a 3-3 record to back that one up. That said, this team did knock off the Georgia Bulldogs in its last game, which is the type of win fans were hoping for early and often.

Although the LSU Tigers are the only undefeated team in the SEC, Alabama is arguably the best team — because Alabama football. The Crimson Tide now have two wins over top 10 teams (at the time, of course), and their chances of making the College Football Playoff are looking better and better, despite having one loss.

It would probably be very easy to overlook Tennessee given the fact that Alabama will play LSU in the ultimate SEC showdown (at least this year) in its next game, but Nick Saban will surely have his troops ready to dominate once again.

The theme of the season: Play solid defense and watch Derrick Henry do his thing.

Something tells me that will be the case once again in Week 8.

PREDICTION: Volunteers 12, Crimson Tide 38
