And just like that, it’s coach hunting season for the Miami Hurricanes.

After losing by the score of 58-0 against the Clemson Tigers, which was the Hurricanes third loss in 2015, firing Al Golden was the only thing left to do. You know, because all the blame always gets put on the head coach. Side note: That shellacking was the worst loss in school history … and Miami has been around for a long time.

After the brutal loss, former players started to call for Golden’s job on Twitter — because that’s just how the world works nowadays.

Once upon a time, the Hurricanes were a powerhouse in college football. Golden clearly wasn’t helping the program get back to its glory days, and Miami will now have to find a new coach who will eventually put it back on the map.

In the meantime, this squad is 4-3 on the season and has to take on yet another ranked opponent next (the Duke Blue Devils). Basically, things could get even worse in a short amount of time.
