TV Schedule: Saturday, Oct. 31, 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN2

Stadium: Carter-Finley Stadium

Line: Clemson (-10.5)

The Clemson Tigers shot up the top 25 rankings thanks to a blowout victory against the Miami Hurricanes. Thanks to the Florida State Seminoles going down last weekend, Clemson is the last undefeated team standing in the ACC, and is clearly the conference’s best shot at the College Football Playoff.

Meanwhile, the NC State Wolfpack are 5-2 and both losses have come against ACC teams. Translation: Clemson should have no problem pulling off the Halloween victory.

NC State finally got back in the win column after dropping back-to-back games against — you guessed it — ACC teams. The Wolfpack really don’t have a quality win on their resume, but they do have one of the more stingier defenses in college football. NC State is giving up just 16.1 points per game.

Clemson is even better in that department, as it is only giving up 14.3 points per game. Combine that defense with Deshaun Watson (aka a Heisman contender) and it’s no wonder why the Tigers are one of the best teams in the nation.

Something tells me they will continue to be one of the best squads after Week 9.

The way things have been going, I suppose it wouldn’t be the biggest shocker if the Tigers did fall. You know, since upsets have been raining down on this sport all season long.

PREDICTION: Tigers 45, Wolfpack 21
