TV Schedule: Saturday, Nov. 14, 12 p.m. ET, ESPN2

Stadium: Spartan Stadium (MI)

Line: Michigan State (-15)

The Michigan State Spartans‘ College Football Playoff hopes aren’t looking all that great. According to the CFP committee, they are ranked No. 13. Although there are still a ton of teams ahead of them in the rankings, Michigan State can pick up some serious ground by winning its last three games of the season.

That all starts against the Maryland Terrapins this weekend. Then, the Spartans will have their toughest test of 2015 against the Ohio State Buckeyes. With a win, Michigan State would likely skyrocket up the rankings, or you would at least hope. A date with the Penn State Nittany Lions will close out the regular season for MSU.

Maryland, on the other hand, has been a ball of disappointment this season. That tends to be the case when a team loses its head coach during the season. The Terrapins are just 2-7 overall and are still searching for their first Big 10 win.

Although the Nebraska Cornhuskers showed that Michigan State was beatable last weekend, Maryland will likely have to search for that Big 10 win elsewhere. After this contest, the Terps will take on the Indiana Hoosiers and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Here’s what I am thinking: Michigan State is probably going to take all of its frustrations out on Maryland, and that will equal some style points (aka what the voters love to see).

PREDICTION: Terrapins 10, Spartans 41
