TV Schedule: Saturday, Nov. 21, 8:00 p.m. ET, ABC

Stadium: Memorial Stadium (Norman, OK)

This is what I like to call a monster showdown — and I know I am not alone on that one.

Here’s what is at stake entering this Week 12 battle: (1) The winner will move one step closer to making the College Football Playoff, while the loser will be eliminated from contention. (2) Trevone Boykin and Baker Mayfield are still battling it out for the Heisman Trophy. (3) The Big 12 champion could appear from this contest.

If Boykin is not ready to go or if his injury bothers him at all, good luck to the TCU Horned Frogs. After all, Boykin is so valuable to his team and you will not find a more clutch player in college football. Also, the Oklahoma Sooners get this game at home.

Both teams put up a ton of points (that’s kind of the Big 12’s thing), and both teams could realistically win a championship.

Oklahoma’s loss came against the Texas Longhorns in rivalry fashion. TCU’s came on the road against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who the Sooners still have to play. The Horned Frogs’ final game of the regular season will be played against the Baylor Bears. That was supposed to be arguably the best matchup of the season — and it still could be — but both the Bears and TCU already dropped a game.

Let’s make this very simple: If Boykin is good to go, TCU wins this game. If not, the major advantage goes to Mayfield and the Sooners.

PREDICTION: Horned Frogs 45, Sooners 38
